 After our early visit to Featherdale:
We head straight to the best view points in the Blue Mountains.
Optional 1 hour rainforest & canyon walk with gigantic sandstone cliffs, Katoomba Falls, the Three Sisters and views which seem to go on forever to accompany us, and catch the world’s steepest railway back up to the top.
Or choose to ride the worlds steepest railway – gradient of 52 degrees ( feels like 90 degrees :-) down into the canyon, take a 10 or 20 minutes easy and beautiful temperate rainforest board walk across to the cable car for a trip alongside the massive cliff face on one side and spectacular views to the three Sisters on the other side.
Say g’day to the Three Sisters – A famous rock formation perched on top of Echo Point.
Relax at one of the lookout points, look through the information centre, buy a souvenir or go for an easy walk down to say g’day to the Three Sisters.
The Blue Mountains is all about the views, so we maximise our time at the best lookout point in the Blue Mountains.
See the picturesque towns and surrounding areas of Leura & Katoomba. Learn about the early settlers & the beautiful towns they established.
Meet Goombla (if he is not on a walkabout) and listen to the ancient sounds of his didgererdoo. See his ceremonial tribal body art and his traditional animal fur clothing.
